According to the Hawaii Department of Business, Economic Development and Tourism, Hawaii will see gains in tourisms, construction and federal spending that will continue to drive growth in jobs and personal income. Hawaii state jobs are expected to increase 1.9% for the year 2005. The Hawaii Department of business is also predicting the tourist industry to increase 5.1% over 2004. The Pacific Business News (Honolulu) states that the Big Island leads in visitor growth for the state. In fact, Hawaii County is expected to see almost a 10% growth in visitors.
