Big Island Weather
Hawaii Big Island Weather & Climate
As you drive around the island, you’ll experience wide variations in temperatures, elevation and climate. Our annual rain fall can vary from 6″ to 150″ depending on where you are on the Big Island. Coastal regions are generally warm and simitropical, however, be aware that the East Coast (Hilo, Hamakua Coast) has an abundance of rain, whereas, the West Coast (Kona Coast & Kohala Coast) is blessed with sunshine all year round. This island has weather for everyone, and as we say at Aloha Vacation Cottages, “If you don’t like the weather where you are, try a few miles down the road.”
